KLB Discussion of Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvian Reynard & Giveaway!

Captain Bells: When my friend Captain Kat called me one day gushing on the phone about Gabriel's Inferno, I knew it was a book that I had to read! She absolutely loved it and since we recommend books to one another I knew I had to read it. I don't think I've ever heard her talk with a passion for a book the way she did that day. I was actually shopping when she called my cell and as she went on and on about the book, I knew it was one she cared for deeply. Gotta say, SHE WAS RIGHT! The book was great and I've gone on to recommend it as well.

Captain Kat: Who wouldn't recommend this book doode! Its like the best book of 2011! Okay Okay like its my top 10 of 2011, I know I know I go back and forth but Professor Gabriel Emerson is worth every bit of time I spent reading this book!. I loved his character, dark, sinfully sexy! He didn't give a damn what people thought of him, well maybe a little but for the most part he was what made the story for me!

Now I have a Professor E to go with my Doc E! HOLLA! I really want to say HOLLA City of Squalla! but that would be just Ghetto fab! Okay Okay Capt Bells throw that part in for good measure! Professor E is off the mutha fluffin chain! You know I had to go there!

C-B: LOL! Yes Professor Emerson made the book for me as well. I loved how the book started off with him being a total prick and we don't know why, and as the story unraveled we got to see just how haunted he was. They both were for so long and finding out why was such a big part of the book. Although the majority of the book was serious, I enjoyed the touched of comedy that were thrown in. Professor Emerson had me laughing during those moments.

Another great thing that I loved about the book was the tension. So much tension between the two of them and I loved it so much. This book seriously gave me anxiety while I was reading it because I just couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. My children truly took care of themselves that day because I just couldn't put my Kindle down!

C-K: One of the great things like you said was the tension... I mean I was like OMG OMG OMG! Just do it already! but I love how Reynard holds off to the last possible minute when these to finally collide or should I say slide between the sheets! But yes I loved that we get to see the good professor progress. When we do finally find out why he can't remember Julia, my heart broke! Like I was crushed and I literally wanted to go out into that orchard and comfort him!

The book was seductive in a way that kept me turning the pages! The climax of the book of course is when Professor E realizes at the very last moment who Julia really is! I was LIKE YEESSSSSSSSSSSSS! and then I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO don't leave him he needs you!

C-B: Yes that scene was brilliantly written! Loved the elevator doors closing and then BAM! he realized it. Just wonderful writing at it's best. Another scene that I enjoyed was the confrontation during the class. Julia finally stands up for herself and I loved that scene! When I began reading it I was thinking, "OMG! This is going to be good!" I loved how the other students were like, "Huh? What are they talking about?"

C-K: My favorite part of that scene was like... Oh but Dante is having an affair with Paulina thinking he can have his cake and eat it to! Then the way she recovers and was like I read that somewhere! YO! Classic! I love how she puts him on front street! But my fave fave part is when he pulls her into his office and then cages her at the door and gives her a taste of what she's been missing! With Paul out there waiting for her! He's like FUCK PAUL! Your coming with me yo! *SWOON*

I truly felt bad for Paul for like...3.5 seconds and quickly got over it and was like GO FOR THE GOLD Julia! Why? (Goldmembers voice) I LOVE GOLD! YES YES! Triumphant moment for me!

C-B: LMAOOOOO! I felt bad for Paul as well but truly, there is no competition. Gabriel is the man and Julia can't seem to get him off of her mind. Heck we all couldn't get him off our minds! Such a great, tortured character and Sylvain Reynard did such a great job with the writing of his character and with the book. A big thank you to Sylvain for bringing such a wonderful book into the book addicts life!

A big thank you to you as well Captain Kat for recommending the book to me. It took me a while to get to it and trust me, I slapped myself silly for not reading it sooner. ;)

C-K: You are right my doode! I wonder if Elizabeth would have liked this book?
